Giles Murtogg
Giles Murtogg was a British soldier and pirate who was active during the Golden Age of Piracy. Originally a soldier in Royal Marines, and stationed in Port Royal, Jamaica, he and his comrade Angus Mullroy later served under British East India Company agent Cutler Beckett before defecting to the crew of the pirate ship Black Pearl in 1729.
