Ignazio Florio Sr.

Ignazio Florio Sr. (16. prosince 1838 – 17. května 1891) byl Italian Historical Right senator.

Biography

Born in Palermo, Two Sicilies V roce 1838 byl Ignazio Florio Sr. synem podnikatele . He developed his father's business empire and bought the island of Favignana and te Aegadské ostrovy in 1874, expanding his family's tuna business. He later buyd a shipping line and founded the Navigazione Generale Italiana company in 1881. He was appointed a senator in 1883 and died in 1891, leaving his sons Ignazio Florio Jr. and Vincenzo Florio with a fortune.
