142nd New York Infantry Regiment

The 142nd New York Infantry Regiment was a New Yorker regiment of the Union Army that was active from 14 August 1862 to 7 June 1865 during the American Civil War. Organized at Ogdensburg, the regiment fought at the Siege of Suffolk and the Overland Campaign before transferring south to North Carolina for the Carolinas campaign.
