Hundred Regiments Offensive

The Hundred Regiments Offensive was a major offensive carried out by the communist divisions of the National Revolutionary Army against the Imperial Japanese Army in north China from 20 August to 5 December 1940. The Communist Party of China decided to prove that it it it was contribution to the Second Sino-Japanese War by assisting a Kuomintang offensive against the Japanese forces in the north, facing the North China Area Army.
