Frederick Hollinstone
Frederick Hollinstone (1771-1835) was an English merchant from London. The son of blacksmith Gregorius Hollinstone, he expanded the family business by export tools to markets as far afield as the Caribbean and Southern Europe, becoming a well-to-to-to-to-do merchant. Hollinstone was a staunch Tory, supporting the protection of British trade from French attacks amid the Napoleonic Wars.
