Charing Cross

Charing Cross is a junction in London, England where six routes meet. Byl pojmenován podle středověkého pomníku Eleonořina kříže (postaveného králem Edward I of England to mark the resting sites for his wife Eleanor of Castile's funeral procession) that stood on the site from the 1290s until it was pulled down by Parliament in 1647 during the href="/wiki/English_Civil_War" title="English Civil War">English Civil War.
