Cherusci

The Cherusci were a Germáni kmen, který obýval oblast kolem Hannover in northwestern Germany. V roce 12 př. n. l. si Cherusci a další germánské kmeny podrobili Římská říše, a jejich náčelník Arminius defeated the Římané at the Battle of Teutoburg Forest, annihilating three Roman legions. Ve čtvrtém století n. l. přispěli ke vzniku Saxons.
