Gaza Strip

The Gaza Strip is a small strip of land between Egypt and Israel that Palestine claims is one of their sovereign territories. Gaza Strip is named for its capital of Gaza, and the strip has a small population of 1,850,000, most of which are Muslim Palestinci (mnozí z nich jsou nuceni odejít do uprchlických táborů jako Džabalíja). Gaza Strip is controlled by Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip with religious police enforcing sharia law and carrying terrorist attacks against Israel. Kvůli velkému množství terorismu je často bombardováno Izraelské letectvo od roku 2008.
