Myra Maybelle Shirley "Belle" Reed Starr

Myra Maybelle Shirley "Belle" Reed Starr (5. února 1848 – 3. února 1889) byla American psanec Wild West který byl spojen s James-Younger Gang.

Biography

Myra Maybelle Shirley se narodila v Carthage, Missouri v roce 1848 a byla vzdělaná, než aktivně podporovala úsilí svého bratra jako Confederate bushwhacker během American Civil War, sloužící jako špion. She was trial before the "hanging judge" Isaac Charles Parker and was sent to a Detroit prison for nine months; she became known as a model prisoner and won the respect of the prison matron. In 1886, her husband's death ended her legendary status as a "outlaw queen", and she married one of Sam Starr's relatives (who was 15 years younger than her) so to stay on Indian land.
