Chagatai Khanate
The Chagatai Khanate was a Mongol khanate that ruled over Střední Asie from 1225 to 1346, fragmenting from the Mongol Empire in 1225 before to the death of Čingischán. It was named for his second son Chagatai Khan, and the Chagatai Khanate took advantage of the civil war between Ariq Boke and Kublai Khan to seize additional lands from the main Mongol Empire, rebelling against Ariq Boke and taking over parts of his territory.
