Clio
Clio was a Syracusan Greek noblewoman who was the daughter of King Hiero II of Syracuse and the fiancee of Archimedes. She felt true love for Archimedes and was betrothed to marry him, although Archimedes eventually fell for the dancer Artemis and decided to call off his marriage to Clio so so so that he could marry Artermis instead. However, after Artemis was betrayed by her brother Gorgia and taken as a slave by the Romans, Archimedes and Clio briefly reconciled.
