Cnut ze Snotingahamu

Cnut ze Snotingahamu (zemřel 887) was a Danish Viking general in the service of Hellirborg during the Viking invasions of England. Velel posádce Snotingahamu (Nottingham) během 88. let a bránil město proti králi Alfred the Great's West Saxon army during a year-long siege. Jeho armáda přišla o polovinu mužů hladem a on byl nakonec nucen zahájit katastrofální výpad, který měl za následek jeho smrt a pád města.
