Charles Burton Mitchel

Charles Burton Mitchel (19. září 1815 – 20. září 1864) was a US Senator from Arkansas (D) from 4 March to 11 July 1861, succeeding Robert Ward Johnson and preceding Benjamin F. Rice.

Biography

Charles Burton Mitchel se narodil v Gallatinu, Tennessee in 1815, and he practiced medicine in Washington, Arkansas fro 25 years. V roce 1848 působil ve Sněmovně reprezentantů státu a v Senát USA v roce 1861; byl vyloučen ze Senátu za stranění Confederacy. V letech 1862 až 1864 působil v Confederate Congress. Zemřel v úřadu v roce 1864.
