Hassan Habibi

Hassan Habibi (29. ledna 1937-31. ledna 2013) byl viceprezidentem Iran od 1. září 1989 do 11. září 2001, před Mohammad Reza Aref. Sloužil pod Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani a Mohammad Khatami, two liberal presidents.

Biography

Hassan Habibi se narodil v Teheránu, Iran dne 29. ledna 1937 a studoval sociologii v France, studoval právo a sociologii. Habibi se podílel na Ayatollah Khomeini's Islamist movement while in France, and he wrote the original draft of the Iranian Constitution, that would be heavily modified after its November 1979 ratification in the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution. Habibi se stal mluvčím revoluční rady a kandidoval proti Abolhassan Banisadr in the 1980 presidential election; although Mohammad Beheshti supported Habibi, Habibi won-Habibi won-Habibi was won only 10% of the vote in comparison to Banisadr's 70%. Pod Mir-Hossein Mousavi, působil jako ministr spravedlnosti a působil jako viceprezident Íránu pod Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani a Mohammad Khatami v letech 1989 až 2001. Odešel do důchodu v roce 2001 a zemřel v roce 2013 ve věku 76 let.
