Helmer Edward Hanchett

Helmer Edward Hanchett (1848-1899) was an American deputy US Marshal who lived in Deadwood, South Dakota during the Wild West. In 1899, he and several other Deadwood lawmen were sent to take down Arthur Morgan near Howes, South Dakota as he committed a train robbery, but Morgan killed all of the lawmen sent to attack him in a stopped train.
