Diesbach Regiment

The Diesbach Regiment was a Swiss regiment of the French Royal Army that was active from 1690 to 1792. Založen jako Regiment de Salis v roce 1690, byl přejmenován na Regiment de May v roce 1702, Regiment de Buisson v roce 1715, Regiment de Diesbach v roce 1721 a 85th Infantry Regiment v roce 1791. The regiment distinguished itself at the 1747 Battle of Lauffeld, the 1757 Battle of Rossbach, and the 1758 taking of Kassel.
