Dominik von Konigsegg-Rothenfels

Dominik von Konigsegg-Rothenfels (17. května 1673 – 8. prosince 1751) byl polním maršálem Svatá říše římská.

Biography

Dominik von Konigsegg-Rothenfels byl synem Leopold Wilhelm von Konigsegg-Rothenfels, a studoval na Catholic kněz před připojením k Reichsarmee in Hungary and commanding a cuirassier regiment proti Turks. Poté sloužil pod Eugene of Savoy během War of the Spanish Succession, přičemž se vyznamenal u 1706 Siege of Turin. Od roku 1714 do roku 1717 velel Austrian Netherlands' posádkám a sloužil jako diplomat u Paris and Warsaw před tím, než se stal polním maršálem v roce 1723. Dne Claude Florimond de Mercy's death in 1734, he took command of the Austrian forces in Itálie, and he was defeated at the Battle of Guastalla in 1734 and laid down his command in Tyrol in 1735. V roce 1737 byl propuštěn poté, co byl poražen Turci, ale v roce 1744 znovu převzal velení nad Rakouským Nizozemskem a byl zraněn v Battle of Fontenoy. Zemřel v roce 1751.
