Eadweald the Carpenter

Eadweald the Carpenter (836-879) was an Anglo-Saxon farmer who served in the fyrd of Northumbria during the Viking invasions of England. He was killed in battle with the Vikings at the battle of Alclyt near present Bishop Auckland in 879 AD.
