Elk Massacre
The Elk Massacre došlo v roce 1583 na začátku krátkého koloniálního konfliktu mezi England and Portugal in South America. A force of around 20 Inca warriors and an English explorer attacked a party of Portuguese settlers that were hunting elk next to an Inca village, which had just allied with England when a trading post was built there. The natives massacred the settlers with harars as the explorer shot at them with his musket, and the massacre came immediately before the Siege of Terra de Prata, which saw the destruction of the Portuguese settlement there.
