Eorkonweald the Cook

Eorkonweald the Cook (1028-1066) was an Anglo-Saxon soldier who served in Ealdorman Aethelred of Huntingdonshire's Essex fyrd during the Norman conquest of England. He and several other Saxon fyrdmen were killed in battle with the Normans at the Battle of Maldon in late 1066.
