German 4th Parachute Division

The German 4th Parachute Division was an airborne division of the German Luftwaffe that existed from November 1943 to April 1945. Divize vznikla v Benátkách, Italy as a mixture of the German 2nd Parachute Division and Italian volunteers, and the division fought against the Allies at the Battle of  in southern Italy. 4. června 1944 byla divize poslední německou divizí, která opustila město Rome, a divize se probojovala zpět do Itálie, když Spojenci postupovali na sever. V dubnu 1945 se divize vzdala Spojencům u Boloně.
