Benjamin Garley

Benjamin Garley (1760-1819) was an American wheat farmer from Salisbury, North Carolina. The son of English immigrant Thomas Garley, he served in the Patriot militia during the American Revolutionary War before back to his farm. Garley was a staunch Jeffersonian due to his support for agrarianism and small-town values. He father four children, including Ruffin Garley.
