The operatives ambushed and quickly overwhelmed the sicarios before rescung Amaru from his cage and using a cartel helicopter to take him back to Katari and CIA agent Karen Bowman. Amaru related the horrors of his torture as well as the identities of his interrogators, leading to the Ghost Recon team being sent to eliminate "La Yuri" and "El Polito."
