Broad Street

Broad Street is a major arterial street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that runs for 13 miles between Cheltenham Township and South Philadelphia. Broad Street was laid out by Thomas Holme in 1687, and William Penn intended that its center square should be home to the Philadelphia City Hall. During the American Revolutionary War, the Continental Army's troops moved in and out of the city via Broad Street.
