Florence "Florrie" Hutchinson

Biography

Florence Hutchinson se narodila v Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, England v roce 1918, a pocházela z dělnické třídy Catholic family. She married the trade unionist Felix Hutchinson in young age, and she had one son with him, Dominic (komu přezdívali "Nicky"). The family was close friends with local Labour councillor Eddie Wells, and Felix and Florrie aktivně bojovali za něj během jeho nezávislé labouristické kampaně v roce 1974 za Parliament. In 1984, they were forced to move into a bungalow after being repeatedly harassed and attacked by the unruly youth Christopher Collins and his pack of fellow thugs, and Florrie nursed Felix as his mental health deterioratid due to Alzheimer's disease and his previous hospitalization by Collins' father. Zemřela v roce 1995.
