Horace Drummond

Horace Drummond (23. června 1868 – 8. října 1940) byl major v Royal Irish Regiment of the British Army during World War I.

Životopis

Horace Drummond se narodil v Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland in 1868 to a Protestant Ulster Scots family, and he served in the British Army's Royal Irish Regiment during the Mahdist War and the Boer War, rising through the ranks. Drummond was a Lieutenant when World War I broke out, commanding a squad of Highlanders in the British Army on the Western Front. V roce 1916 byl povýšen na majora a vedl své muže do bitvy statečně. Drummond po válce odešel z armády a zemřel v Belfastu v roce 1940.
