IJA 57th Division

The IJA 57th Division was an infantry division of the Imperial Japanese Army that was active from 1940 to 1945 during World War II. Recruited in Aomori Prefecture, Iwate Prefecture, Yamagata Prefecture, and Akita, the division defended Manchukuo from 1941 to 1945 and ended the war at Fukuoka without see any combat.
