Alexander Peace „Alex“ Keaton (narozen 1965) byl členem organizace Young Republicans z Columbusu v Ohiu. Vyrůstal na předměstí v rodině hippies a měl vášeň pro ekonomiku a bohatství. Ve svém pokoji měl plakát republikána Richarda Nixona a podporoval republikánské prezidenty Ronalda Reagana a George H. W. Bushe.
