Elliot O'Friel

Elliot O'Friel (1846-) was an Irish-Australian hired gun in the service of Elliott Marston during the late 19th century. In 1880, he, Paddy Nyland, and Oliver Clancy were sent to the fishing village of Meekathanga to track the American hired gun Matthew Quigley, resulting in massive shootout which left the Golden Age Hotel on fire and a German immigrant woman dead. Quigleymu se podařilo přepadnout tři střelce z tunelu pod mostem, přičemž zabili Nylanda a Clancyho a zranili a ušetřili O'Friela (střelili ho do nohy poté, co se ho O'Friel pokusil přepadnout během předstírané kapitulace), kterému Quigley nařídil vrátit se na Marstonův ranč a varovat ho, že si tam zalezl.
