Huey Andrew Ayers

Huey Andrew Ayers (1846-1898) was an American postman who lived in Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona during the 1890s. In 1898, the Arizona Kid tried to stopch a ride on his wagon as it circled Martinez Lake in rural Yuma County, leading to Ayers threatening Arizona with a gun. Arizona responded by shooting Ayers with a shotgun, robbing his wagon, and taking the reins, driving it out of remote Arizona.
