Hong Kong Garrison

The Hong Kong Garrison is a garrison of the People's Liberation Army responsible for defense duties in Hong Kong since its creation on 1 July 1997. The PLA garrison replaced British Forces Overseas Hong Kong and the Royal Hong Kong Regiment, and it both symbolizuje Beijing's governance over the territory and serves as a combat-ready force.
